OK a quick introduction for those of you who don't know me,
I have been in the VW Hobby for 40 years now which includes driving an air-cooled Beetle or Bus everyday of the year for 41 years as my daily driver. Being the Historian & New Jersey Chapter Rep of the VVWCA for a number of years. Going to VW shows in many surrounding states and California, building and restoring air-cooled VWs, and subscribing and reading Hot VW Magazine, VW Trends, and over 100 VW books for the same amount of time.
A few years back I finished restoring my latest. A 1950 Standard model Split Window Beetle that you'll see below. This Split was featured in the April 2017 issue of HOT VW Magazine, and also won German best in class at the "Greenwich Concours d; Elegance 2017. And the Ramapo Concours d' Elegance. You'll also see the 1967 21-window Deluxe Microbus I fully restored by myself, it was featured on the cover and in the May 2009 issue of Hot VW Magazine, and also won The Award of Excellence at the "Greenwich Concours d' Elegance" which is the Pebble Beach Show of the East Coast.
Next you'll see me in my daily driver 1971 Single Cab VW Pickup Truck. Last is my 1952 convertible that has now found it's way to California. I have owned and restored dozens of VWs that have been featured in VW Trends and Hot VW Magazines and have lined my walls with trophies.
I have also organized and produced the Garden State Classic VW Show that I put on in Liberty State Park, New Jersey across the Hudson River from the original World Trade Centers back in 1991, and then I helped organize and start the Raceway Park Classic VW Show in Englishtown, New Jersey. I also had one of my convertibles rented by (VWoA) Volkswagen of America, and put on display next to the "Concept One convertible" which made it's debut at the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City back in 1994.
I do all the work myself on my restorations. From the mechanic work and building my engines, to the metal work and welding, to the bodywork, painting, interior, and detailing. All of it done in my small 2 car garage that was featured in the Spring 2009 issue of Garage Style Magazine. So if you put all my years together of Volkswagen knowledge I think you can be assured that you made a good purchase with my book. Watch for my new VW book that should be out soon.

This is a picture of me holding a pair of personally autographed drum sticks from my favorite drummer "Phil Ehart" from KANSAS. Thanks Tom.
